-- Florence Parlett Letter
This
1991 letter written by long time Lee Airport operator and CAP member,
Florence Parlett. This letter talks about how Mr. Lee was
planning on closing Lee Airport and how she took over the airport.
The letter also talks about how funds were raised to bring the
CAP HUT over to Lee Airport.

Note
the roof with "ANNAPOLIS, MD" "LEE AIRPORT" could this possibly be the
hanger and Annapolis flying office that burned down around 1962?
(reference the "Florence Parlett Letter" from 1991 above).
- "NO CLIPPED WINGS FOR ANNAPOLIS IF CARROLL LEE CAN HELP IT"
This
article from June 1957 talks about Carroll Lee's efforts to establish
Lee Airport, Lee Airport during WW2, with a mention of "COMPULSORY
C.A.P. ACTIVITY" at Lee Airport during the War, and finally ending with
the transfer of the airport to Florence Parlett.
- "GRANDMOTHER PUTS AIRPORT ON PAYING BASIS"
This
article from February 1960 was circulated on by the AP (Associated
Press) and was printed on many newspapers across the country. The
article talks about Florence Parlett and her managing Lee Airport in
the early days. CAP Annapolis is also mentioned in the article.

The
back of the photograph has written in pencil "1959", however, another
sticky where I found this photograph says 1965. Other photographs
of the above cadets date them to around 1965.

This newspaper from 1964 shows the opening of the CAP HUT at Lee Airport.
